Crust 1 cups crushed shortbread cookies 3 tbs melted butter Topping 8 strawberries, halved (16 pieces)

Filling 1 cup cottage cheese 1/2 lb strawberries grated rind and juice of 1/2 orange 1 envelope unflavored gelatine 3 tbs water 6 tbs sugar 3/4 cup heavy cream 1 egg white

  Melt butter and mix with cooies to make standard cheesecake crust. Press into bottom and sides of 9 inch pie pan and chill.
  Crush strawberries with orange rind and juice. Mix gelatine and water, stir over low heat until gelatine is dissolved. Beat cheese and sugar, stir in berry mixture, then gelatine mixture. Let cool.
  Whip cream, whisk egg white until stiff. Fold cream and egg white into cheese mixture. Pour into pan and chill till set. Remove from pan, decorate with strawberry halves.
